Burnie Arts Council - 75th Birthday Concert

Burnie Arts Council Inc are turning 75 and our Big Birthday Concert will be an event for the whole of the Burnie community!

The evening concert brings Burnie’s favourite sons Josh Earl and Justin Heazlewood (The Bedroom Philosopher) back to the theatre stage as they razzle and dazzle just as they once did at their own Burnie Eisteddfod graduations! There’ll be songs, comedy and the world premiere of the Dream Burnie Municipal Band. The band features accomplished Burnie musical alumni Van Walker, Will Hindmarsh and Zane Lynd. Plus special guest surprises on the night.

This is a once in a lifetime showcase of Burnie’s renegade talent. And there will be cake in the foyer afterwards!

At 5.30pm join us for a pre-show soirée in the gallery where we will look back over the Arts Council’s 75 years. We will celebrate Burnie’s extraordinary artists and our deeply-rooted creative community. Enjoy substantial canapes and drinks, guest speakers, connect with old friends and take some spine-tingling trips down memory lane.

Musical accompaniment by the Burnie Stringalong Orchestra.

This event is presented in partnership with the Burnie City Council.

Tiered Ticketing:

Pre-show Soirée, Gallery, 5.30pm – 7pm: includes substantial canapes + drinks (x1 voucher + cash bar) $40

Concert Only: 7.30pm – 9.30pm, Theatre: includes after-show cake-cutting $35

Combined Ticket: Pre-show and Concert: $70
