Written by David McGillivray and Walter Zerlin Jr in 1976 this is a wacky play-within-a-play about a rural English dramatic society’s efforts to stage a melodramatic, 1950s-style sci-fi thriller.  Aliens from Mars land in a small English village and steal their Superwoman Robot.  The only thing to do is fly to Mars and rescue the beloved robot. Absurdity flies at warp speed as the inadequate acting troupe try to cope with high tech effects that go awry and the limited acting talents of some of the Farndale members ensure that the cast remain firmly on the ground.
