Mature Artists Dance Experience

To Carry / To Hold, by highly regarded choreographer Liesel Zink, has been specially created for Mature Artist Dance Experience (MADE) and is the company’s major work for 2024. Liesel Zink is an award-winning artist whose socially-engaged practice has seen her develop and present work around Australia, Asia and Eastern Europe. 

This new work will celebrate the power of the human body and the stories it holds. From the mundane routines of everyday life to the transformative moments that alter our course, To Carry / To Hold intertwines past, present and future in an exploration of stories that connect us across time, space and generations. These are stories that still yearn to be expressed, shared, and experienced. Expect to be surprised and moved yet again by the powerhouse that is MADE. 

To Carry / To Hold will be performed by members of the MADE Ensemble comprised of non-professional dancers aged 50 or over, some of whom have been have been part of MADE creating exceptional and original works with leading choreographers for 19 years.

Following MADE's successful season in Burnie in 2023, you can expect to be surprised and moved yet again by the powerhouse that is MADE.
